Meet Kristie Tuttle, artist and creator of Pyoor Studio

Kristie’s original art creations reflect applied texture and layering using curious forms and a variety of materials to balance mysterious and harmonious compositions. Often using just her hands and unusual objects, she applies, removes, and reworks the canvas until she discovers something unique and inspiring.  She is fascinated by the juxtaposition of mixing old and new, shiny and matte, texture and smooth, modern and vintage. Her art prioritizes these tensions, as well as  natural tones and elements for any aesthetic – whether it be modern, transitional, or traditional designs. Kristie was raised in a creative environment. Her mother was a talented artist focusing on pastels, textiles, and refinishing gorgeous antiques. Inspired by her mother, Kristie began her artistic journey after a corporate career in finance. For years, Kristie collected and studied art and design, often using her own home to explore her passion for expressing her artistic endeavors. Grateful for the support of her husband and encouragement from friends who wanted to buy her art pieces, Kristie left her corporate career, created Pyoor Studio and opened an art studio in Scottsdale, Arizona to focus on her passion for art, design and antiquities.  Pyoor means “pure” in the urban dictionary which is synonymous with the priorities of Kristie’s art – refined, fresh, original, authentic.
